How to Upload Google Sniper’s Affiliate Link Code to Bluehost

I was following George Brown’s Google Sniper method in uploading the affiliate link to BlueHost server. I was having no success because my computer can’t perform according to his instructions.
In Google Sniper’s training this is the only section that I had found difficulty of following it. But I was able to find a way around on how to do it.
Instead of having an affiliate link that looks like this: www.MerchantSite.com/affiliate_id_777, with George Brown’s method your affiliate link may look like this: www.YourSite.com/Recommends/ProductName.php. I’ve been wanting to learn this and finally I know how to do it now.
I made this tutorial just in case if there are individuals out there who have difficulty in uploading their affiliate links to Bluehost server as they follow the Google Sniper training.
Jan. 6, 2010 UPDATE: PRETTY LINK CLOAKING
I just found out that there is a WordPress Plugin called Pretty Link which is a lot easier to use when you do cloaking. Go to my tutorial section on the right side bar and click on Learn Google Sniper’s Method on Affiliate Link Cloaking.
Uploading the Affiliate Link Code to Your Server.
This tutorial is a continuation of my previous blog: Learn Google Sniper’s Method on Affiliate Link Cloaking which you can find in my tutorial section at the right side bar of this site.
Login to Bluehost cPanel using the username/domain name and password that were provided by BlueHost when you signed up.
Go to cPanel
Scroll down and go to Files category.
Click File Manager icon 
A small box will pop: File Manager Selection Directory
Click the circle right next to Document Root for, so that a green dot will show up.
Click drop down arrow to select the site (if you have more than one) where you will upload the affiliate link code. In my case I select thegooglesniper.org
Check mark the box – Show Hidden Files (dotfiles)
Click Go button
A new window will open: File Manager (Settings)
Click New Folder icon
A box will pop up: Create New Folder
Type in the box: Recommends
Click Create New Folder button
Recommends folder is created.
Click Recommends twice
A box shows up and says: No records found.
Click Upload icon
A new window opens: Upload Files
Click Browse button
Your Computer’s File Upload shows up.
Click drop down arrow
Another box shows up, find and click Desktop
A new box will pop up: Desktop location of your computer
Click Recommends
A new box shows up with Recommends folder
Click GoogleSniper.php to upload to BlueHost
Upload is complete
To make sure it’s correct, type the address to your computer address bar. Your address may look like this www.YourSiteNameHere.org/Recommends/ProductName.php

Learn Google Sniper’s Method on Affiliate Link Cloaking

I had a hard time of following George Brown’s Google Sniper video tutorial for cloaking affiliate links.
On his video (Module 6) it does look easy to cloak, but I was unsuccessful of doing it. It could be that I am using Windows XP and he must be using VISTA.
According to him that he’s been hearing that some affiliates, who use third party service for link cloaking, didn’t get credit for their sales. Cloaking your affiliate link the right way, will prevent your sales from being stolen.
I’ve been wanting to learn this strategy of link cloaking because it does allow you to make a nice looking link without the ugly numbers seen by your visitors.
If you have a hard time of following George’s video tutorial, I hope this will help you. Part of my tutorial will refer you to George’s Google Sniper video and Manual. After you view his video you may come back to this page to learn how to upload your cloaked link to your site’s server.
UPDATE: It takes time to do cloaking if you follow Google Sniper’s method. Scroll down below to find Pretty Link Cloaking YouTube video tutorial — which makes cloaking very easy.
How to do it
Go to your computer’s desktop and right click. Select New from the small box. Then select Folder on the next small box that shows up.
Name your folder Recommends
Click Recommends folder to open
Click File, Select New, Select Text Document
Replace New Text Document with the name of the product you are promoting, then hit Enter button of your computer.
In my case I typed in GoogleSniper
Click GoogleSniper Text Document(or the product name of your choice) to open. Once it opens, you will see the header: GoogleSniper – Notepad. Find the cloaking code from Google Sniper Manual then copy and paste link cloaking code in GoogleSniper – Notepad.
Click File tab, select Save.
At this point I want you to refer George’s Google Sniper Course at his site to find out where to get your affiliate link and how to use the link cloak code. You will also learn how to track your links so that you will know which links that your visitors had clicked. Come back to this page to learn how to upload the affiliate link code to your server.

Changing File Name Extension
After you insert your affiliate link in the cloaking code, click File, click Save.
Click Tools, select Folder Options,
Select Folder Options. A new box will show up.
Go to View settings.
Uncheck the box that says: Hide extensions for known file types
Click OK button
Take Note: Now there’s a .txt added after the GoogleSniper
Right click on GoogleSniper.txt
Select Rename
Replace txt with php
A new box will pop up; click YES
Final php script file

In Google Sniper training, George had laid out the step-by-step instruction on how to install the plugins. In his instructions he included the downloading and unzipping of WordPress plugins files. Well, for me this is too much of a hassle.
Here’s the easy way. . . Actually there are plugins that you can access through your admin panel. You don’t need to download, unzip and upload.
If you had already set up your Google Sniper site and had already changed the theme you should be familiar by now with your admin panel. If you haven’t done these yet, here’s my previous tutorials:

Plugins Installation
On the left side of your admin panel scroll down, find and click Plugins
A new window will open: Manage Plugins
Click Install Plugins button
A new window will open: Install Plugins
If you’re looking for all-in-one seo pack, type it in the box, then click Search Plugins button.
A new window will open: Install Plugins
You will see a list of SEO related plugins, on the far end to the right click Install
A box will pop up with All-in-One-SEO Pack information.
Click Install Now (or Install Update Now) button. In my case, it’s showing Latest Version Installed because very recently I installed the latest version.
A new window will open: Installing Plugin…
Click Activate Plugin
Go back to Plugins
A new window will open: Manage Plugins where all your plugins are stored.
Find All-in-One-SEO Pack, click Options Configuration Panel
Refer Google Sniper Manual on pages 61-63 for All-in-One SEO Pack configuration
Other Helpful Plugins for Your Google Sniper Sites
The 2 plugins that George Brown is using for his Google Sniper sites are: All-in-One Seo Pack and Google XML SiteMaps.
But WordPress has tons of helpful plugins that you can use for your sites.
Here are other plugins that I use for my Google Sniper Sites:

You can install them the way how you install other plugins (no fpt process is needed). Don’t forget to configure them or adjust the settings.

How to Change Your Google Sniper WordPress Theme – Tutorial

Yesterday I posted a quick tutorial on how to set up your Google Sniper site using WordPress at BlueHost.
In George’s Google Sniper training he didn’t mention that you can change your site’s theme within your WordPress admin panel. He did mention that if you prefer to use a WordPress theme of your choice you can upload it to your site’s server.
In your admin panel there are available themes that you can choose and install in case if you don’t like the default one. This is easier to do than following what George is showing in his training. Thankfully WordPress has been updating their system which makes easier for us to manage a blog without learning any code.
After the set up your Google Sniper site you will have this default theme:
If you like to change the theme, login to your site’s admin panel. Use your site’s login information (username and password) that you’ve received from SimpleScripts email. The login address usually looks like this: www.mysite.com/wp-admin
Below is a WordPress admin panel (my site’s).
On the left column find and click Appearance or Themes
A new window will open: Manage Themes
On the top right corner click Install Themes button
A new window will show up: Install Themes
You can find awesome themes by clicking any of these options:
Featured | Newest | Recently Update
If you choose Featured a new window will open with WordPress themes. Choose whatever theme you like then click Install (or you can click Preview)
A small box with your selected theme will pop up then click Install Now button at the bottom of the box
A new window will open: Installing Theme. . .
You may click Preview to see how your site looks like.
Click Activate
Click Visit Site (find on the top of your admin panel) to see your new site’s theme

Build Google Sniper Site Easy: How to Install WordPress

How fortunate I am to find the Google Sniper course. I’ve been involved in internet marketing for 3 years but had never built or installed a site until now when I got George Brown’s Google Sniper system.
For me, it is so intimidating to tackle the techie stuff and I just hate to go through something like this. When I started managing my pre-made site three years ago, I overwrote some information and I had to pay someone to fix it for me — and that was a pain.
When WordPress got popular I bought a template which can be used for 5 sites. So every time I needed a site I just had to pay someone to install it for me.
After I saw George Brown’s video on how to set up a Google Sniper site, I felt so confident that I can do it. I never knew that it was that quick to install a WordPress blog site.
I know there are a lot of internet marketing newbies who would like to be able to install WordPress, so I made this quick tutorial. Hope you will find this helpful.

A. When you reach to your site, scroll down and find the cPanel Login link.
B. A new window will open — the BlueHost cPanel.
C. Scroll down and go to Software / Services Category, then click WordPress icon.
D. New window will open: Install WordPress
Click the INSTALL button to install a new WordPress site.
E. A new window will open: Installation Preferences
Step 1 – Installation Preferences
Which version of Wordpress would you like to install?
Choose the latest version. The latest version shows up automatically inside the box.
Where would you like WordPress installed?
If this is your first website, your site’s address will automatically show up inside the box; so leave it there.
If you click the drop down arrow you have the option to choose whether you like your site’s address with ‘www’ or without ‘www’. If you have multiple sites you have to choose which site would you like to install WordPress.
Step 2 – Advanced Options
Please give your site a new name
In my case, my site’s name is The Google Sniper
Username: You may type in your first name in the box
Password: Provide your password in the box
Automatically create a new database – Leave the check mark in the box.
Step 3 – Legal Information
In order to install WordPress, you must agree to its license. Please review the license and click the checkbox.
Click the COMPLETE button. 
Last window will come up which will show the progress of your installation. The installation should take about 30 seconds. . .
It will also give you the following information:
- Site URL – you may click the link to view the installed blog/site
- Login URL – you may click the link to login
- Username
- Password
NOTE: In Google sniping the priority is to please the search engines. Choosing a domain name is very important in creating a Google Sniper site because it basically help your search engine rankings.

My First Google Sniper Site – 1st Page, #4 in Google Search Engine

In my last post I wrote about Google Sniper product that I just purchased.
George Brown said that with his Google Sniper method many sites get to the first page in Google Search Engine Ranking quickly. I was more interested in this area.
I have been working hard with my other sites and never any of my sites’ homepage get to the first page in Google Search engine. I did have a few pages of my other sites appeared in the first page of Google Search Engine — but I did a lot of research and hard work so that I can put a good quality content in them.
So I wanted to test his claim.
I read the Google Sniper Manual and viewed the videos. I followed all his step-by-step instructions.
I am so thrilled that finally I’m able to build a WordPress site. I’ve been in affiliate marketing for 3 years but I had never built a site. I bought a template (which can be used for 5 sites) and I had paid someone to install for me every time I needed a site.
